Meet Dr. Maria

Being a pediatric dentist is immensely gratifying: I have the honor of contributing to a child’s growth in many different ways, helping each to lead a fuller and healthier life. Personally, I feel lucky to be part of a child’s life, educating and supporting them while in my care. I love guiding and nurturing children, and seeing each grow into a healthy, happy adult.

I want kids to love visiting the dentist and to be excited about taking care of their teeth. It’s important to offer a fun yet relaxing environment, where children feel safe and at home. This helps build a trusting bond and for them to learn that dentistry is a positive part of a healthy life.

I adore working with children, learning about their lives and sharing in all they experience and dream about. Whether I’m providing dental care, offering pointers to improve their home dental hygiene, or listening to them talk about their day, I am showing the child that they are important and that I care about who they are.

Beyond the Practice

Originally from Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, Dr. Maria and her husband, Dr. Alon, currently reside in Weston with their three children and family dog.

When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Maria is usually with her family and friends. She enjoys playing sports with her kids, supporting various children’s fundraising activities and charities, and constantly seeks ways to improve herself, both professionally and personally.

Dr. Maria also loves to write. She keeps a diary of all the funny and ingenious things her patients, and her own children, have told her over the years. Someday she hopes to see these in print!
